And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.\nFor our business, for clients, and for you\n\nJob Description\nAccounting Manager - Hedge Funds\nThe successful applicant will maintain the client relationship, take responsibility for co-ordination and allocation of the team’s workload, and ensure compliance with internal and external controls in the area of hedge fund accounting.\nYou should have relevant experience in the auditing or administration of hedge funds. You will have a proven knowledge of the fund industry and should have demonstrated experience in a similar role. Experience working on Geneva would also be highly beneficial for this position.\nResponsibilities\nYou will be responsible for the detailed review of the reconciliation and calculation of periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) net asset values of various funds, including:Reconciliation of investment portfolios, dividends and interest, corporate actions, and investor capital activity.\nDealing with requests from and communicating with the investment manager and investors regarding all aspects of the account’s operation.\nUpdating accounting and client relationship management systems, updating, and verifying statistical information, oversee financial statements preparation, and working with external auditors.\nReview of hybrid fee structures calculation at each NAV\n\nYou will be responsible for the oversight of outsourced office and their assigned relationships, ensuring timely and accurate NAV calculation along with any other client specific reporting requirements.\nLiaise with Investment Managers, Auditors, Broker’s, Custodians, and Investors frequently\nEnsuring client enquiries are answered in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis\nEnsuring that all client cash instructions have been processed (ie fund expense payments)\nEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the fund’s specifications\nEnsuring compliance with all internal deadlines for reporting and MIS\nEnsuring accurate internal revenue reporting\nSupervision, training, and recruitment of accounting staff\nEnsure accurate delegation of work across your team\nEnsure effective communication with colleagues and corresponding departments\nSkills\nAt least 3+ years extensive fund accounting experience, supervision of teams a plus\nUniversity degree - accounting, finance, business, or economics preferred (or overseas equivalent)\nExperience with general ledger accounting\nStrong computer skills including Excel & Word\nProficiency in advanced Excel functions desirable.\nExcellent communication and inter-personal skills\nExcellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills\nAn ability to think critically and objectively\nThe flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as needed\nGeneva experience would be advantageous\nDisclaimer: Unsolicited CVs sent to Apex (Talent Acquisition Team or Hiring Managers) by recruitment agencies will not be accepted for this position.
