We neither offer any securities (bonds, shares, notes etc.) nor do we act on behalf of any other financial institution to offer such securities to any clients.\nApex is currently looking for a Senior Finance Controller-Regulatory Reporting (m/f/d) within the European Depositary Bank in Luxembourg to support our growing operations in the Finance department. This is a permanent role based in Luxembourg and comes with a favorable salary and benefits package.\nKey Responsibilities\nRegulatory & Financial Reporting\nPrepare and manage regulatory reporting obligations, including COREP, FINREP, LAREX, LCR, NSFR, and other CSSF/BCL regulatory and statistical reports.\nPerform reconciliations, analytical reviews, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.\nAnalyse financial and regulatory data and provide meaningful explanations for significant variances and movements.\nCollaborate with Accounting, Risk, Treasury, Credit, and other stakeholders to resolve reporting and data quality matters.\nMonitor and interpret regulatory requirements including CRR/CRD, EBA, CSSF, and BCL frameworks, supporting the implementation of regulatory changes.\nSupport internal and external audits as well as regulatory requests.\nMaintain and continuously improve reporting procedures, controls, and documentation.\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nSupport the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.\nAnalyse actual versus budget and forecast performance, identifying key trends and business drivers.\nContribute to management reporting and financial performance analysis.\nPrepare financial analysis across revenues, costs, clients, and business activities.\nProduce management information, KPIs, and presentations for internal stakeholders.\nSupport the ongoing enhancement of financial planning and reporting capabilities.\nFinance Transformation & Process Improvement\nParticipate in finance transformation initiatives, including the enhancement of accounting, banking, and regulatory reporting systems.\nContribute to testing, validation, reconciliation, and implementation activities.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve existing reporting processes.\nHelp strengthen data quality, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.\nDevelop reports, analyses, and tools that support decision-making across the business.\nCollaboration & Knowledge Sharing\nBuild strong relationships with colleagues across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Credit, and IT.\nDevelop a broad understanding of the Bank's products, activities, and regulatory landscape.\nManage assigned deliverables and reporting responsibilities effectively.\nShare knowledge and best practices within the Finance team and support colleagues when required.\nAssist with ad hoc analyses and requests from management and regulators.\nAbout You\nWe understand that talented professionals may not meet every criterion listed below. If your experience aligns with many of these areas and you are excited by the opportunity, we would love to hear from you.\nEducation\nMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.\nExperience\nExperience within banking, financial services, audit, accounting, controlling, or regulatory reporting.\nPractical experience in regulatory and/or financial reporting within a banking environment.\nExposure to FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or financial analysis would be advantageous.\nAbility to manage responsibilities independently while working effectively within a team environment.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, including IFRS and/or Lux GAAP.\nPractical knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks including COREP, FINREP, CRR/CRD, EBA, CSSF, and BCL requirements.\nUnderstanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.\nStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to investigate data, identify trends, and understand underlying business drivers.\nAbility to translate regulatory requirements into practical reporting solutions.\nExperience with regulatory reporting tools, accounting systems, ERP platforms, or banking systems would be beneficial.\nInterest in developing expertise across regulation, finance transformation, data analytics, and automation.\nSystems & Software\nAdvanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis.\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.\nExperience with systems such as Abacus360 or similar regulatory reporting solutions would be an advantage.\nInterest in automation, reporting technology, and data analysis tools.\nWhat Will Help You Succeed\nWe are looking for someone who is:\nAnalytical and comfortable working with financial and regulatory data.\nDetail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.\nAccountable and reliable in delivering work to deadlines.\nFluency in English, French is an advantage.\nCurious and motivated to continue learning and developing professionally.\nCollaborative and able to build strong relationships across teams.\nAdaptable in a changing regulatory and business environment.\nA clear and confident communicator who can explain complex information effectively.\nProactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.\nPlease note that a background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process once a job offer has been made.
