Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.\nWe’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Spacecraft Systems Integration & Test Responsible Engineer, you will be responsible for turning mature satellite platform designs into flight-ready systems. You will operate at the integration, test, and qualification phase of the product lifecycle, owning execution and ensuring the spacecraft meets system requirements and performs reliably in flight.\nThis role is the single-threaded owner for system-level integration, verification, anomaly resolution, and flight readiness.\nResponsibilities\nSystem Integration & Test Ownership\nPlan, coordinate, and execute system-level integration of spacecraft subsystems\n\nOversee and support system-level testing, including:\nFunctional and performance testing\n\nEnvironmental testing (vibration, thermal-vacuum)\n\nDevelop, review, and approve system-level test procedures\n\nAnalyze test data and lead anomaly investigation and resolution\n\nVerification, Validation & Flight Readiness\nOwn verification and validation of platform-level system requirements\n\nMaintain system-level verification artifacts, test reports, and compliance documentation\n\nSupport qualification, acceptance, and flight readiness reviews\n\nSupport launch site activities and on-orbit commissioning as needed\n\nExecution & Risk Management\nTrack requirement changes, risks, and mitigation actions during integration and test\n\nSupport system-level failure investigations and root cause analysis\n\nFeed lessons learned back into design teams to improve future iterations\n\nCross-Functional Execution\nCollaborate closely with manufacturing, test, quality, and subsystem teams\n\nCommunicate system status, risks, and issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nParticipate in customer meetings, design reviews, and program status updates\n\nRequirements\nU.S. Person status (ability to access export-controlled data)\n\nBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field\n\n6+ years of experience with system integration, test, and qualification\n\nStrong understanding of satellite subsystems and system-level interactions\n\nExperience planning and executing system-level tests\n\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills\n\nPreferred\nPrior flight hardware experience\n\nExperience supporting spacecraft environmental testing campaigns\n\nFamiliarity with aerospace verification and qualification standards\n\nExperience operating in a production or high-rate environment\n\nWhy Join Apex?\nApex believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.
