Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.\nWe’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.\nAbout the Role\nApex is looking for a Master Scheduler to own the company's overall schedule. This role builds and maintains the integrated master schedule that ties together product design, development, and program execution, and keeps leadership and every department tracking to plan. You will work across engineering, supply chain, production, program management, and leadership to build accurate schedules, surface risks early, and show clearly where the company is on plan and where it is not.\nThis is a senior, cross-company role. It fits someone who can hold the big picture across many programs while staying close enough to the work to build a credible, bottoms-up schedule.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the integrated master schedule by building and maintaining the company-wide schedule that connects product design, development, and program execution across all programs.\n\nWork with engineering to build design and development schedules, including major milestones, dependencies, and gates.\n\nCreate and manage detailed program execution schedules that drive on-time delivery and good use of resources.\n\nMonitor progress across the company and its departments against the master schedule and show clearly where teams are on plan and where they are falling behind.\n\nLearn the engineering development and production processes used to build Apex products and break down schedule tasks to reflect that technical scope.\n\nWork with engineering, supply chain, production, and program management to keep schedules aligned and realistic.\n\nEstablish and maintain consistent scheduling processes, cadence, and standards so updates stay timely and schedules stay trustworthy across the company.\n\nIdentify risks to the schedule, work with teams on mitigation and contingency plans, and flag critical path issues early.\n\nAddress competing priorities and resource conflicts across programs to keep work moving.\n\nCommunicate schedule changes to the right stakeholders and make sure adjustments carry through the organization.\n\nProvide regular updates to leadership on schedule health, progress, and major issues, including a clear read on whether the company is tracking to plan.\n\nRequirements\nU.S. Person status, as this role requires access to export-controlled data.\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.\n\n7+ years in scheduling or program planning, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.\n\nTrack record building and owning complex, integrated schedules with many interdependent tasks across multiple programs or teams.\n\nStrong understanding of engineering development and production processes.\n\nProficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.\n\nExperience building critical path and milestone schedules.\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including working directly with leadership.\n\nComfort in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.\n\nPreferred\nExperience owning a company-level or integrated master schedule (IMS).\n\nExperience delivering IMSs on a U.S. Government Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).\n\nExperience in satellite manufacturing or related industries (aerospace, defense, or high-tech).\n\nCertification in project management or scheduling (PMP, CPIM, PMI-SP, or Six Sigma).\n\nExperience scheduling both product development and production, not just one.\n\nWhy Join Apex?\nApex believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day. A candidate's specific level and base pay are determined case by case and may vary with job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities, and internal equity.
