Working in a modern Java and Python environment, you’ll play a key role in architectural decisions, delivery excellence, and team development.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced and inclusive environment.\n\nGuide architecture and design for third-party integrations with a focus on reliability, scalability, performance and security.\n\nOversee the full integration lifecycle - from planning and development to testing, deployment, and production support.\n\nCollaborate closely with Product, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to define and deliver integration roadmaps.\n\nSet and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews, technical mentorship, and process improvements.\n\nFoster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.\n\nMonitor performance, resolve incidents, and conduct postmortems with a view to continuous improvement.\n\nStay informed on emerging FinTech trends, APIs, regulatory updates, and best practices.\n\nProduct & Architecture Leadership\nLead, support, and grow a team of software engineers delivering both customer-facing and platform capabilities.\n\nGuide architecture and design across our self-serve customer portal, real-time transaction dashboards, and intelligent routing engine.\n\nShape product thinking alongside Product and Design to ensure seamless, intuitive user experiences.\n\nIntegrations & Infrastructure\nOversee third-party integrations with key FinTech partners (e.g. payment processors, BNPL, fraud prevention, and financial data providers).\n\nEnsure integrations are secure, performant, and scalable - from design through to production support.\n\nChampion engineering quality through architecture reviews, hands-on technical guidance, and best practices.\n\nTeam Delivery & Culture\nFoster a high-trust, inclusive, and continuously improving team environment.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Product, Compliance, and Business to deliver impactful outcomes.\n\nLead incident response, retrospectives, and process improvements with a focus on learning and operational excellence.\n\nABOUT YOU:\n5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.\n\nProven experience working in Java and Python-based systems.\n\nDeep understanding of third-party APIs, data integration, and secure data transmission protocols (REST, SOAP, OAuth, etc.).\n\nUnderstanding of Microservices, AWS, CI/CD Pipelines, Springboot, Caching Mechanism\n\nFinTech or Payments experience is required - especially with processors, gateways, or financial data providers.\n\nStrong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nStrong decision making, ability to influence engineering teams & product stakeholders to move forward.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:\nGreat people deserve great rewards.
