The Senior Accountant must have strong attention to detail as they will be involved in all aspects of the accounting close as well as Financial Statement preparation and analysis. They will also have the opportunity to enhance our existing day to day processes and help design new processes that leverage technology and forward thinking to drive efficiency.\nThe Senior Accountant role is onsite at our headquarters located in Melville, NY and will report to the Accounting Manager.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nAssist in the month-end/year-end closing process \nPrepare journal entries during month-end \nAnalyze monthly fluctuations across the balance sheet and P&L \nPerform month-end balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP \nPerform analytical procedures including budgets vs actuals and variance analysis \nTimely research and resolution of reconciling items with exceptions reported to management for review and consultation \nAssist with annual expense budget \nAssist with the annual audit\nAssist with the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages\nProvide support to management as needed, including ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance\n4+ years of professional accounting experience\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nMust be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multitask\nProficiency with Oracle NetSuite a plus\nCompensation:\nThe good faith compensation for this position is 90,000 - 105,000, commensurate with experience.\nOther Duties\nDuties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time according to business needs.\nThe performance of additional responsibilities if you are designated as a Data Protection Champion (DPC), Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) or Information Assurance Accounting Officer (IAAO).\nWork Environment\nThis position operates in a professional office environment.
