The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with over 4 years of relevant experience.\nAbout the Position\nReporting to the director, the accounting manager will be responsible for but not limited to:\nSupport the month-end close process to ensure all reporting deadlines are met accurately and on time\nPrepare and post journal entries across key areas including accruals, prepaids, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue/expense recognition\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported and resolved in a timely manner\nInvestigate and analyze account variances, ensuring clear explanations for unusual or significant fluctuations\nAssist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE\nCollaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and operational teams to ensure financial records are complete and properly recorded\nMaintain fixed asset schedules, including capitalization, disposals, and depreciation tracking\nReview key accounting areas such as revenue recognition, intercompany balances, and expense allocations for accuracy and compliance\nSupport the maintenance and strengthening of internal controls and adherence to accounting policies\nPrepare audit schedules and support year-end audit requirements, including responding to auditor requests\nAct as a key support to the Director in day-to-day accounting operations and reporting activities\nRequirements\nDesignated CPA\n4+ years of progressive accounting experience\nStrong experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close ownership\n5 days in office role\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: $100,000 to 120,000\n3 to 4 weeks vacation\nExtended health and dental benefits\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
