Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will develop practical, efficient, and reliable solutions while ensuring high-quality project delivery.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nFlexible working arrangements, including hybrid work options\nCompetitive compensation package with RRSP matching\nComprehensive benefits and access to a wellness program\nA supportive culture that promotes work-life balance\nStructured training, professional development, and ongoing learning opportunities\nKey responsibilities:\nDefine engineering design specifications and project standards in collaboration with customers and internal engineering teams.\nInterpret customer requirements and translate them into practical, technically sound automation and process control solutions.\nExecute complex engineering activities across industrial automation projects and specialized technical applications.\nDevelop engineering solutions that align with industry standards, established best practices, and customer expectations.\nReview and validate engineering designs, technical submittals, service estimates, and other project deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.\nSupport project activities throughout the lifecycle, including scope definition, design, testing, commissioning, and start-up.\nCoordinate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support project planning, resolve technical issues, and maintain delivery commitments.\nMonitor assigned project scopes to ensure technical quality, schedule requirements, and customer expectations are met.\nSupport budget management by reviewing costs, identifying potential risks, and recommending appropriate change orders.\nContribute to continuous improvement by developing and refining engineering procedures, standards, and processes.\nCollaborate with Sales and other internal stakeholders on hardware and service estimates for larger project opportunities.\nMaintain effective communication with customers and internal teams throughout project execution.\nRequirements:\nA university degree in Engineering or a technologist diploma in an engineering discipline.\nAt least six years of experience in project engineering, industrial automation, process control, or a related technical field.\nStrong technical knowledge of industrial automation, process control systems, and engineering design.\nDemonstrated ability to independently execute complex technical work and drive project deliverables to completion.\nExperience supporting multiple phases of the engineering project lifecycle, including testing, commissioning, and start-up.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across project assignments.\nA commitment to technical quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nIf you are an experienced automation professional looking for an opportunity to work on challenging industrial projects, contribute your technical expertise, and continue developing your skills, we encourage you to apply.\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
