This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of law firm BD experience who is ready to take on more ownership and work directly with lawyers and senior BD leaders across the firm.\nReporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Business Development, you’ll support the Vancouver office as well as assigned national practice and industry groups, with a focus on client development, business planning, pitches/RFPs, events and other BD initiatives.\n\nCompensation\nExpected salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nPartner with lawyers and practice groups on business development plans and initiatives\nSupport and coordinate RFPs, pitches and new business opportunities\nPrepare directory and award submissions\nSupport client-facing events, seminars, webinars and educational programming\nAssist with sponsorships and industry association initiatives\nCoordinate practice group and client team meetings, including agendas, materials and follow-up\nSupport annual BD budgets and monitor expenses\nConduct market, client and industry research to support BD planning\nWork with Marketing Communications on digital and print collateral\nHelp evaluate BD initiatives and provide recommendations on where to focus time and resources\nCollaborate with the broader national BD, Events, Proposals and Marketing team’\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of business development/marketing experience within a law firm\nBachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional client-facing materials\nComfortable working directly with lawyers, Partners and senior stakeholders\nStrong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nCollaborative, adaptable and comfortable supporting different practice areas and industries\nStrong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly\nWhy Consider This Opportunity\n You’ll join an established national BD team while having meaningful exposure to the Vancouver office and its lawyers.\nThe position offers a broad scope across business planning, client development, proposals, events and strategic BD initiatives, making it a strong next step for someone looking to continue growing their career within legal business development.\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
