This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening financial controls, enhancing reporting and processes, and supporting the company’s continued growth.\nReporting to senior leadership, the Controller will oversee the accounting team, lead month-end and year-end reporting, and ensure accurate, timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership skills, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to financial management and operational improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the accounting team and oversee daily operations, month-end/year-end close, and financial reporting.\nAnalyze financial results, investigate variances, and support budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions.\nOversee cash management, cash flow forecasting, intercompany transactions, and external stakeholder reporting.\nMaintain accounting policies, internal controls, and GAAP compliance while overseeing complex transactions.\nLead annual audits, coordinate CRA and third-party reviews, and oversee corporate tax reporting.\nManage ERP and accounting systems, drive process improvements and automation, and enhance reporting efficiency.\nPartner with senior leadership and external advisors on financial initiatives and strategic planning.\nQualifications & Experience\nCPA designation required, with experience in public practice is extremely preferred.\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience.\n5+ years ofleadership experience, with team development and management of7-13 staff.\nStrong technical accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls expertise.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the business.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: $140,000-$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience\n4 weeks of vacation\nDiscretionary bonus\nExtended health and dental benefits\nHybrid work model: 2 days in the office\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
