The contractor will work closely with technology, business, and vendor teams to identify, assess, track, and reduce security risks.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct security risk assessments for applications, systems, projects, and technology initiatives.\nPerform third-party/vendor security risk assessments, including reviewing security questionnaires, SOC reports, certifications, and other security documentation.\nIdentify, assess, document, and track security risks and recommend appropriate remediation or mitigation actions.\nOperate vulnerability management (VM) tools to identify, prioritize, track, and report vulnerabilities.\nReview and validate vulnerability findings and work with technology teams to drive remediation.\nTrack security issues, risks, and exceptions through to resolution.\nPlan and execute phishing simulation campaigns to assess employee awareness and identify areas for improvement.\nDevelop security awareness materials, including phishing awareness, security tips, training content, and employee communications.\nAnalyze phishing campaign results and provide recommendations to improve employee security awareness.\nPrepare clear risk assessment, vulnerability, third-party risk, and awareness reports for stakeholders.\nSupport continuous improvement of security risk, vulnerability management, third-party risk, and security awareness processes.\nProvide regular status updates and reporting on key risks, vulnerabilities, third-party assessments, and awareness activities.\nRequired Experience\n7+ years of experience in cybersecurity risk management, vulnerability management, and third-party risk.\nHands-on experience with vulnerability management tools such as Rapid7.\nExperience performing vendor/third-party security assessments.\nExperience planning and executing phishing simulations and security awareness campaigns.\nStrong understanding of common security risks, vulnerabilities, and security frameworks.\nStrong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical, business, and vendor teams.\nKey Deliverables\nCompleted security and third-party risk assessments.\nDocumented risk findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.\nVulnerability reports with prioritized remediation actions.\nPhishing simulation campaigns, results, and recommendations.\nSecurity awareness materials and employee communications.\nRegular reporting on open risks, vulnerabilities, third-party assessments, and awareness activities.\nRecommendations to continuously improve the organization’s cybersecurity risk and awareness program\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
