This is a hands-on HR position suited to someone who enjoys owning day-to-day HR activities, supporting employees and managers, and ensuring HR programs and processes are well organized and effectively delivered.\nAbout Our Client\nOur client is a progressive organization with a people-focused culture and an open-minded approach to HR. They value continuous learning, collaboration, and practical approaches to supporting their employees.\nAbout The Opportunity\nThe HR Specialist will take ownership of a broad range of day-to-day HR activities, working closely with leadership, managers, and employees across the organization. This role will be a key resource for employee relations, performance management, recruitment, policy administration, and ongoing HR initiatives.\nAbout The Position\nAct as a key point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters.\nCoordinate and administer the performance management program.\nSupport employee relations matters, including investigations and more complex issues.\nManage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, references, offers, and coordination with hiring managers.\nSupport employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employment changes, leaves, and offboarding.\nReview and make recommendations on HR policies and procedures.\nProvide guidance on employment standards and applicable legislation.\nSupport HRIS reporting, and process improvements.\nContribute to HR initiatives and special projects.\nComplete general HR administration and ensure employee records and documentation are accurate and up to date.\nThe Requirements\n6+ years of progressive HR experience.\nDegree or Diploma in Human Resources.\nCPHR designation or actively working towards.\nExperience with employee relations, investigations, performance management, recruitment, and HR policies.\nDemonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret employment standards and applicable legislation.\nPrior responsibility managing day-to-day HR activities and employee/manager inquiries.\nExperience working with HRIS systems and HR reporting.\nStrong organizational and administrative skills with a process-oriented approach.\nStrong judgement, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.\nDemonstrates an analytical approach to HR systems and processes.\nCompensation\nAnnual salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.\nCompetitive benefits.\n3 weeks’ vacation.\nProfessional development opportunities.\nSupport for professional designation.\nHybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day working from home based on performance and business requirements.\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
