You will collaborate closely with plant leadership, the HR Team and employees to foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.\nThis position follows a hybrid work model consisting of four days on-site and one day remote per week\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and productivity.\nAdvance the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and overall employee experience.\nResolve HR issues effectively by applying knowledge across disciplines of HR, including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, engagement and talent management.\nManage and maintain positive labour relations within the unionized plant.\nAssist with the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.\nAddress and resolve employee grievances and disputes in a timely and effective manner.\nPartner with Talent Acquisition Specialist to develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.\nCoordinate and administer compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives.\nOversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in HR/business or related area\nMinimum of seven (7) years of HR experience with some exposure to manufacturing\nCHRL/CHRP professional designation is an asset\nExtensive knowledge and experience in human resource management, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, coaching and strong analytical skills\nStrong knowledge of labour laws and regulations in Ontario\nAbility to deal with conflicting priorities and a variety of complex situations with tact and diplomacy\nWork well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and be detail-oriented\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
