This is a contract role with a hybrid schedule (typically three days onsite per week in downtown Edmonton) where you’ll partner closely with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable, well tested solutions across the full software development lifecycle.\n\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions, estimates, and delivery plans\nDesign, build, and enhance applications using C#/.NET and Visual Studio\nDesign and implement SQL Server database objects (data models, stored procedures, SSRS or similar reporting)\nCollaborate with end users to confirm requirements, support UAT, and refine solution scope\nCreate and maintain technical documentation (designs, manuals, release notes, support docs)\nParticipate in code reviews, defect resolution, and performance troubleshooting\nSupport controlled releases using source control and sound deployment practices\nCoordinate testing activities (unit, system, integration) and help drive quality improvements\nQualifications\nExperience level: typically 6+ years in application development/analysis within a large, complex IT environment\n Technical skills: C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server (Management Studio, stored procedures, data modeling, reporting)\nDelivery skills: proven experience across the SDLC, from requirements through build, test, and release\nBusiness partnership: comfort working directly with end users on requirements, testing, and documentation\n Education or equivalent: post secondary training in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education plus related experience)\nNice to have: Agile experience, GitHub, unit testing and test driven development, integration across multiple data sources/web services/legacy systems\nWork must be performed from within Alberta, and you should be comfortable with a hybrid onsite schedule in Edmonton.
