Our client has an immediate need for an Integration and Application Solutions Architect to join their team.\nNote: This is a hybrid role in the Edmonton area\nReporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture, the Integration and Application Solutions Architect proactively leads and supports architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of integration and application solutions. The role takes ownership of integration and application solution architecture to address business problems and maximize value for stakeholders. The architect designs technology-agnostic data integrations, automations, and application interfaces/contracts, and prepares required artifacts. They assist stakeholders in integration and automation processes and design architecture solutions across all application layers.The architect is responsible for conducting technology assessments, developing strategies and roadmaps for the integration and application domain, and creating reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support API and integration projects. The position works closely with enterprise architects, domain architects, external consultants, and product delivery teams to ensure solutions align with the organization’s architecture principles, policies, and standards.\nResponsibilities and Activities:Solution Architecture:\nFacilitate and collaborate to deliver business outcomes.\nTranslate business strategies into solution architecture.\nLead the design and analysis of solutions across various applications and technologies.\nDefine principles, guidelines, and standards to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.\nDocumentation and Mentorship:\nCreate and maintain technology standards documentation.\nProvide mentorship and knowledge transfer to support teams.\nProblem/Issue Resolution:\nResolve application-related issues and maintain knowledge of application services.\nProject Participation:\nParticipate in assigned projects to deliver quality products and provide expertise.\nRequirements:\nMinimum of a Degree in Computer Science or a related technology-focused discipline.\n5+ years of experience in implementing and managing integration solutions.\nIn-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture disciplines (business, application, data, cloud, and security).\nExpertise in integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Azure Integration Services.\nProficiency in application development technologies and frameworks.\nKnowledge of various database technologies like MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.\nFamiliarity with SDLC methodologies (waterfall, agile, DevOps).\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.\nDavid Aplin & Associates Inc., operating as Aplin, and its associated brands, CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment, is an award-winning employment agency connecting diverse, top-tier talent with exceptional organizations across North America.
