You will own jobs from pursuit through closeout: bringing in business, shaping the estimate/price, quoting the customer, negotiating the contract, and managing delivery to completion.\nAn in-house estimator supports takeoffs; you are accountable for overall pricing, strategy, and margin.\nThe hiring manager is specifically looking for a motivated, commercially-minded PM who wants upside and will help grow market share in a more competitive environment.\nABOUT THE POSITION\nBuild and grow client relationships; generate and win new work\nOwn pricing and profitability from early-stage pursuit through final closeout\nCompile inputs into estimate/pricing sheets; ensure pricing aligns to scope, risk, and margin targets\nPrepare proposals and quotes; present and defend pricing to customers\nNegotiate contracts, scope, and commercial terms\nManage projects A-to-Z, including office-based coordination and site visits\nDrive job costing discipline throughout the project lifecycle, including cost-to-complete forecasting and change management\nTHE REQUIREMENTS\nStrong mechanical construction project management background with HVAC and plumbing exposure\nProven experience owning estimates/quotes and project pricing (beyond simply executing construction)\nStrong business acumen, including job costing, cost vs. sell, and gross margin vs. markup\nExperience with an established Lower Mainland mechanical contractor and a stable work history\nComfortable working in-office full time in Burnaby, plus site visits\nNice-to-have experience includes the following:Multifamily plus commercial new build exposure\nSome tenant improvement exposure\nPrior success bringing in work or holding a sales/BD component in a previous PM role\n\nCOMPENSATION\nBase salary range: $100,000 to $140,000\nIncentive bonus plan\nCar allowance\nMedical and dental benefits\nPension plan after 2 years\n3-4 weeks vacation\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
