They are now looking for an experienced Navigation Engineer to help build the navigation solution around their unique gyro technology.\nThis is a hands-on technical role- You’ll own the navigation and sensor-fusion work from architecture and algorithm development through testing, validation, and product delivery.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and develop GNSS/INS and inertial navigation systems\nDevelop and implement sensor-fusion algorithms and Kalman filters\nWork with GNSS, odometry, magnetometers, barometers, depth sensors, and other inputs\nDevelop INS mechanization, alignment, initialization, and gyrocompassing\nBuild and improve IMU error models and calibration processes\nDevelop temperature compensation and in-field calibration strategies\nDesign testing and validation programs to measure navigation performance\nLead the technical roadmap for INS and sensor fusion\nSupport integration with customers and work directly with their navigation teams\nWhat We’re Looking For\nProven experience building GNSS/INS or inertial navigation systems that have been deployed in real-world applications\nStrong knowledge of:Strapdown inertial navigation\nCoordinate frames and error propagation\nKalman filtering and sensor fusion\nAlignment and initialization\nObservability and fault detection\nGNSS, including RTK or PPP\n\nExperience working with navigation systems in GNSS-degraded or denied environments\nStrong C or C++ programming skills for embedded systems\nExperience with Python or MATLAB\nComfortable working in a small, fast-moving environment where you are both a technical leader and hands-on contributor\nEligible to work in Canada and obtain the required Controlled Goods/export-control clearances\nNice to Have\nExperience with fiber-optic, ring-laser, or other high-performance gyroscopes\nDefense, aerospace, space, or subsea navigation experience\nGNSS-denied navigation, including odometry or map-aided navigation\nExperience leading or growing a small technical team\nGraduate research in navigation\nExperience with the ION community\nFrench and English bilingual\nWhy This Role?
