We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support quality requirements, documentation, and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring quality documentation meets applicable specifications, standards, regulations, and internal procedures, while supporting the development and maintenance of control plans and the resolution of non-conformities.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, support corrective actions, and ensure documentation and processes remain accurate, compliant, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and maintain quality documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, applicable standards, and internal procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and update quality control plans.
  • Review quality-related documentation and identify missing information, inconsistencies, or compliance issues in both content and format.
  • Analyze quality requirements outlined within technical specifications and ensure they are appropriately incorporated into quality documentation.
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to identify root causes, develop corrective action plans, and follow up on their implementation.
  • Support the management and resolution of non-conformities.
  • Maintain and update quality performance indicators and tracking records.
  • Provide documentation and quality support to ensure project and manufacturing requirements are consistently met.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing or technical documentation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reviewing documentation for conformity, certification, and compliance.
  • Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Internal Auditor training is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken, with functional English.
  • Strong written English skills are required, as the role involves working extensively with English-language technical documentation.
  • Ability to successfully complete the required security screening and obtain the security clearance required under the Federal Government’s Contract Security Program.

Principales responsabilités

  • Examiner et maintenir la documentation qualité afin d’assurer sa conformité aux spécifications des projets, aux exigences réglementaires, aux normes applicables et aux procédures internes.
  • Élaborer, maintenir et mettre à jour les plans de contrôle de la qualité.
  • Examiner la documentation liée à la qualité et relever les renseignements manquants, les incohérences ou les problèmes de conformité, tant sur le fond que sur la forme.
  • Analyser les exigences en matière de qualité énoncées dans les spécifications techniques et veiller à ce qu’elles soient adéquatement intégrées à la documentation qualité.
  • Soutenir la mise en œuvre, le maintien et l’amélioration continue des processus et procédures de contrôle de la qualité.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes d’ingénierie, de fabrication et les autres services afin d’identifier les causes fondamentales des problèmes, d’élaborer des plans de mesures correctives et d’assurer le suivi de leur mise en œuvre.
  • Soutenir la gestion et la résolution des non-conformités.
  • Maintenir et mettre à jour les indicateurs de performance qualité ainsi que les registres de suivi.
  • Fournir un soutien en matière de documentation et de qualité afin de veiller au respect constant des exigences liées aux projets et à la fabrication.

Qualifications et exigences

  • Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en rédaction technique ou en documentation technique dans un environnement de fabrication.
  • Expérience dans la vérification de documents en matière de conformité, de certification et de respect des exigences réglementaires.
  • Expérience de travail dans un environnement de fabrication réglementé.
  • Connaissance des normes ISO 9001:2015 et/ou ISO 14001:2015.
  • Souci du détail et capacité à relever les lacunes et les incohérences dans la documentation.
  • Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles, organisationnelles et communicationnelles.
  • Une formation en audit interne constitue un atout.
  • Maîtrise du français, à l’oral et à l’écrit, avec une connaissance fonctionnelle de l’anglais.
  • Excellentes compétences en rédaction anglaise, puisque le poste exige de travailler régulièrement avec de la documentation technique en anglais.
  • Capacité à réussir la vérification de sécurité requise et à obtenir l’autorisation de sécurité exigée dans le cadre du Programme de sécurité des contrats du gouvernement fédéral.
