This position will play an important role in supporting day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit preparation, and vendor-related accounting processes.\nThe Opportunity\nOur client is a privately owned Canadian manufacturing company with an established reputation in the Edmonton market. The organization designs and manufactures specialized industrial products for customers within the energy sector and works with vendors and business partners across multiple countries.\nThis position offers an opportunity to become part of an experienced and collaborative finance team while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting functions, including international transactions, financial reporting, compliance, and month-end activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; deliver monthly and quarterly reporting.\nAnalyze variances and business drivers, providing actionable insights to leadership.\nSupport budgets, forecasts, year-end audits, and financial projections.\nManage fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and manufacturing cost analysis.\nPartner with operations to assess performance and guide decisions.\nImprove processes, internal controls, and financial efficiency; handle ad hoc duties as needed.\nRequirements\n5+ years of accounting experience in the Manufacturing industry\nStrong SAP experience is required, must have\nCPA designation is a must have\nExperience with financial reporting and reconciliations is required\nExposure to audit processes and requirements is an asset\n5 days in office role\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
