Aplin has partnered with a well-established organization in London, Ontario, to hire a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst for a permanent opportunity.\nBenefits & Perks\nCompensation: $75K-$95K base salary\nFully on-site in London, Ontario\nRelocation assistance available for qualified candidates\nTwo performance reviews per year, with opportunities for continued growth and development\nResponsibilities\nPrepare and file Canadian sales tax returns, including GST/HST, PST and QST, as well as U.S. sales tax returns.\nReview invoices and payments to ensure compliance with applicable sales tax requirements.\nConduct technical sales tax research and interpret relevant legislation, regulations and administrative policies.\nRespond to sales tax questions from internal business partners and employees.\nAssist with CRA and other sales tax audits, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries.\nMonitor Canadian and U.S. sales tax legislative and administrative changes and communicate their potential impact on the organization.\nEnsure internal tax compliance processes and procedures are followed.\nAssist with month-end close and year-end audit processes related to indirect taxes.\nWork with the broader tax and finance teams on compliance, technical research and other tax-related matters.\nQualifications\nMinimum 3 years of relevant sales tax experience, including Canadian GST/HST.\nKnowledge of Canadian indirect tax compliance, including GST/HST and provincial sales taxes.\nExperience preparing sales tax returns and reviewing transactions for tax compliance.\nExposure to sales tax audits and technical tax research.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nWell-organized, proactive and able to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial information.\nCompletion of the CPA In-Depth GST/HST course is considered an asset\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
