This is not a quota-carrying sales role-it’s a technical position that works closely with Sales and customers to help design the right solution.\nThe Role\nAs Solutions Engineer, you’ll be the technical resource supporting the sales process, working with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that are technically sound, practical and cost-effective.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nPartnering with Sales to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions\nDesigning solutions involving business internet, fibre connectivity, managed Wi-Fi, IP networking, wireless, voice/VoIP and managed services\nCreating network diagrams, technical proposals and solution documentation\nParticipating in customer meetings, discovery sessions and technical presentations\nExplaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical customers\nSupporting RFPs, RFIs, quotes and scopes of work\nCollaborating with Engineering, Operations and Network Planning to confirm solution feasibility\nIdentifying technical requirements, risks and dependencies before implementation\nSupporting the handoff of approved solutions from Sales to delivery\nBased in Regina, this position will support customers across Saskatchewan and into Manitoba, with travel throughout the territory as required.\nThe Person\nYou may already be working as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer or Network Specialist-or you may be in a networking role and looking for an opportunity to become more customer-facing.\nWe’re looking for:\nA solid understanding of networking, routing, switching and telecommunications technologies\nExposure to fibre, Ethernet, managed Wi-Fi, IP networking, wireless and/or VoIP\nExperience creating network diagrams using Visio or similar tools\nStrong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nThe ability to translate technical information into clear, straightforward language\nA collaborative, customer-focused approach\nA valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory\nEducation in Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field would be an asset, as would industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or equivalent credentials.\nWhy This Opportunity\nThis is a great next step for someone who wants to build on their technical experience while gaining greater exposure to customers, solution design and the commercial side of telecommunications.\nYou’ll join a growing organization with an expanding network footprint and have the opportunity to work on a variety of customer solutions across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.\nCompensation includes:\n$70,000-$90,000 base salary, depending on experience\nApproximately 10% corporate bonus opportunity\nNo individual sales quota\nMileage reimbursement, with additional vehicle arrangements to be confirmed (either a vehicle allowance or a company car will be provided)\nOpportunity for continued technical and professional growth\nIf you’re technically minded, communicate well and enjoy finding practical solutions to customer challenges, we’d like to hear from you.\nAt Aplin - together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems - we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
