You'll play a key role in building and supporting our Microsoft Fabric environment, enabling reliable reporting, analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.\nWorking alongside senior engineers, architects, analysts and business stakeholders, you'll design and develop data pipelines, data models and reporting solutions that transform complex data into meaningful business insights.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for building, integrating and supporting enterprise data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You'll work across data ingestion, transformation, modelling and reporting while ensuring solutions are secure, governed and scalable.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDesign, build and support data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2 and Semantic Models\nDevelop and maintain batch and near real-time data pipelines from enterprise applications, APIs, databases, SaaS platforms and cloud storage\nCreate data transformations using SQL, Python and PySpark\nImplement Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers\nSupport the development and optimisation of Power BI datasets, dashboards and reporting solutions\nMonitor and improve data quality, performance, reliability and security\nMaintain data lineage, documentation, mappings, runbooks and technical standards\nAssist with data platform modernisation, migration and continuous improvement initiatives\nProvide operational support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for data platform issues\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data solutions\nAbout You\nWe're looking for a technically capable Data Engineer who enjoys solving data challenges and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.\nEssential Experience\nExperience working with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data platforms\nStrong skills in SQL and data modelling\nExperience building and supporting data pipelines and integration solutions\nKnowledge of Lakehouse, data warehousing and analytics concepts\nExperience using Python and/or PySpark for data transformation and automation\nExposure to Power BI, semantic models, DAX and reporting solutions\nUnderstanding of data governance, security, access controls and compliance requirements\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project and operational environments\nHighly Regarded\nExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory\nExposure to enterprise data platform projects or cloud transformation initiatives\nMicrosoft Data, Azure or Fabric certifications\nKnowledge of database performance tuning, monitoring and optimisation\nExperience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code
