You will combine deep SAP Basis expertise with DevOps, platform engineering, and AI-enabled operations to deliver highly available, secure, and automated SAP services.\nYou will lead a team of engineers, drive platform strategy, enable cloud transformation, and champion modern engineering practices that improve productivity, reliability, and business outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nSAP Platform Engineering\nLead SAP Basis operations for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, SAP BTP, and HANA environments.\nManage installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, patching, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.\nEnsure platform availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across SAP landscapes.\nDevOps, Automation & Cloud\nDrive DevOps adoption using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.\nAutomate provisioning, monitoring, patching, compliance, and release management activities.\nLead SAP cloud transformation initiatives on Microsoft Azure.\nEstablish platform standards, reusable automation, and engineering best practices.\nAI-Enabled Operations\nDrive adoption of AI, Generative AI, and AIOps capabilities across SAP platform operations.\nLeverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and enterprise AI tools to improve engineering productivity and operational effectiveness.\nImplement AI-assisted monitoring, root cause analysis, anomaly detection, capacity planning, and predictive maintenance.\nIntegrate AI capabilities into DevOps workflows to improve release quality, automation, and operational insights.\nEnsure responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies in platform operations.\nReliability, Security & Governance\nEstablish monitoring, observability, incident management, and disaster recovery capabilities.\nLead root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with security, audit, risk, and governance requirements.\nLeadership & Collaboration\nLead and mentor a team of SAP Basis DevOps engineers.\nProvide technical leadership, coaching, and engineering governance.\nCollaborate with SAP, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Data, and Product teams to deliver platform capabilities.\nInfluence engineering decisions and support enterprise transformation initiatives.\nOur Ideal Candidate\nStrong experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP platform engineering.\nProven expertise in Azure DevOps, automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.\nDeep understanding of SAP HANA, platform reliability, security, and high-availability architectures.\nExperience leading SAP cloud transformation and modernisation initiatives.\nHands-on experience applying AI and Generative AI technologies to engineering, operations, automation, or DevOps processes.\nStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.\nOutcome-oriented mindset focused on reliability, automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.\n12-15+ years of experience in SAP Basis, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, or DevOps, including leadership of large-scale SAP transformation initiatives.\nStrong expertise in SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, SAP BTP, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA/Oracle administration, including upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.\nProven experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting.\nHands-on experience managing SAP workloads on Microsoft Azure, with knowledge of HA/DR, security, and platform reliability.\nFamiliarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Splunk, or equivalent.\nExperience leveraging AI and AIOps capabilities, including GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Azure OpenAI, to enhance automation, operations, and engineering productivity.\nStrong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
