You will have 2 days off during the week.\nExcel experience is required.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Operations Associate/Support is responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests. The primary focus is providing a high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience to all customers while maintaining station KPI’s.\nEssential Functions:\nTracking and tracing outbound shipments \nInspecting outbound freight \nContracting new carriers as needed and assigning carriers and providing load tenders \nCommunicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers, and updating the system \nProvide customer service \nAble to work overtime and weekend on call rotations. \nData entry of shipments into transportation management system \nQuoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments, air, ocean and ground \nDomestic air and ground routing (including Canada) \nContract new carriers \nNegotiate Freight Rates \nDevelop collaborative carrier relationships \nAssigning carriers and providing load tenders \nFind and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for other Pilot offices and external customers \nSKILLS/COMPETENCIES:\nMulti-tasking while maintaining precise attention to detail \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills \nMust be able to type 35+ words per minute \nMust be able to work in demanding, high-volume environment, particularly with email and calls \nPrecise attention to detail \nProficient in Microsoft products \nMust be tech savvy \nCompany Benefits:\n· Medical\n· Dental\n· Vision\n· 401k + Company Match\n· Employee Assistance Program\n· Paid Time Off\n· Flexible Work Schedules (when possible)\n· And more!\nPay Range:\n$23-$25 per hour\n*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position.
