You will drive execution across data engineering, platform development, and agentic AI enablement, ensuring solutions are aligned to enterprise strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role is accountable for delivery, engineering quality, team capability, and platform reliability rather than purely strategy definition.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. AI & Data Platform Delivery\nLead delivery of data platforms, data products, and AI-enabled applications supporting enterprise use cases\nEnable agentic AI adoption, ensuring data pipelines and platforms support AI-driven workflows and decisioning\nDrive development of integrated data foundations to support end-to-end visibility across systems\n2. Data & Analytics Enablement\nEnable democratised data access through governed, queryable data layers (decoupled from operational systems)\nDrive self-service reporting and dashboards, reducing reliance on central teams\nEnsure high-quality, reliable, and secure data foundations for analytics and AI\n3. Platform Engineering & Architecture Alignment\nEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture, platform, and cloud strategies\nDrive adoption of reusable platform components and engineering standards\nSupport integration across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems\n4. Engineering Leadership & Team Delivery\nLead and develop high-performing engineering teams across data, platform, and AI domains\nOwn delivery outcomes, quality standards, and engineering practices within teams\nDrive Agile execution, prioritization, and alignment with product and business stakeholders\n5. Operational Excellence & Scalability\nEnsure solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, and performance at global scale\nDrive observability, automation, and DevOps practices across platforms\nEstablish governance for platform performance, availability, and cost optimization\n6. Cost & Efficiency Focus\nOptimize platform cost through efficient architecture, cloud usage, and tooling decisions\nDrive adoption of shared platforms and reusable services to reduce duplication\nPartner with stakeholders to balance cost, speed, and quality in delivery\n7. Cross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate across Product, SAP, Infrastructure, and Data teams beyond direct reporting lines\nInfluence decisions impacting enterprise data and AI platforms\nDrive alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities\nOur Ideal Candidate:\nYou are a strategic and execution-focused leader who has successfully driven large-scale platform transformations in complex enterprise environments.\nStrong experience leading engineering teams in data platforms, analytics, or AI domains\nProven track record delivering scalable data and platform solutions in enterprise environments\nExposure to AI/ML or agentic AI-enabled use cases\nStrong understanding of data engineering, cloud platforms, and distributed systems\nDemonstrated ability to drive delivery across cross-functional teams\nStrong ownership mindset with focus on outcomes, reliability, and cost\nRequired Skills/Experience:\nMS or BS in a Computer Science or a science/engineering discipline.\n18+ years of experience in technology leadership roles\nExperience leading teams as Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager / Director\nStrong experience with data platforms, pipelines, and analytics ecosystems\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern DevOps practices\nUnderstanding of AI/ML platforms and data requirements for AI use cases\nStrong stakeholder management and execution leadership\n#LI-SS1\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
