Based in The Hague, you will provide PMO support, assurance, and constructive challenge to project teams, Heads of Portfolio, and senior stakeholders. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.\nSupport consistent project management standards across a global portfolio of major terminal implementation projects.\n\nWork with project leadership and senior stakeholders to strengthen governance, assurance, and delivery discipline.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement, capability building, and the sharing of lessons learned across Business Implementation Management.\n\nGain exposure to global capital projects, senior governance forums, project assurance activities, and project controls.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain and continuously improve the APM Terminals Project Management Framework, including processes, standards, templates, tools, and best practices.\n\nProvide PMO guidance and constructive challenge to project teams, Heads of Portfolio, and senior stakeholders to improve project delivery discipline and decision quality.\n\nCoordinate project reporting, governance routines, and stage-gate reviews, ensuring performance information is clear, reliable, and decision-focused.\n\nSupport the implementation and assurance of project controls across schedule, cost, scope, risk, change, reporting, and baseline planning.\n\nReview key interfaces between business readiness, asset delivery, operations, and functional workstreams, supporting practical plans to address gaps and risks.\n\nPlan and facilitate workshops with clear objectives, strong stakeholder engagement, and tangible outputs.\n\nSupport onboarding, training, and capability building for project teams on PMO standards, project management processes, and project controls.\n\nMaintain a structured repository for PM standards, templates, and lessons learned, ensuring project learning supports continuous improvement.\n\nEnsure structured document management practices are implemented and adopted across Business Implementation Management functions and project teams.\n\nEnsure the APMT Project Management Maturity Assessment methodology, criteria, scoring logic, and acceptance rules are consistently applied across projects.\n\nProvide guidance on value drivers and KPIs linked to project requirements and benefit realisation, ensuring they are measurable and integrated into reporting and decision-making.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nContinuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset-curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.\n\nLeadership expectation: We are looking for people who consistently puts customers first, leads by example with respect for people, delivers results with integrity, and drives continuous improvement by solving problems at the root, developing people, and raising standards every day.\n\nMinimum 15 years of experience in project management, PMO, and/or project controls roles, preferably in major civil infrastructure, ports, terminals, maritime infrastructure, transport, energy, utilities, or other capital-intensive sectors.\n\nStrong knowledge of project management processes, governance, stage-gate reviews, reporting, document management, and project controls.\n\nProven experience developing, improving, and implementing project management frameworks, standards, templates, tools, and project assurance practices.\n\nBroad experience across planning and scheduling, cost management, risk management, change management, stakeholder management, and document management.\n\nStrong MS365 skills, including Copilot, with experience using project management, project controls, reporting, and document management systems such as PMWeb, Aconex, or Oracle Primavera Cloud.\n\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.\n\nProject management qualifications such as PMI, PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent are preferred.\n\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills, with additional languages considered an advantage.\n\nAbility and willingness to travel globally to support projects, with an expected travel requirement of approximately 15-25% of your time.\n\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
