As a Construction Project Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting active construction projects while working alongside experienced project managers, field leaders, and industry professionals. This internship provides an opportunity to learn the construction process from project planning through completion while contributing to meaningful project work.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Construction Project Management Intern, you may assist with a variety of project-related activities, including:\nMaintaining subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation.\nSupporting project schedule updates and tracking project milestones.\nDeveloping and managing project correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives.\nReviewing project documents, including shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, addenda, purchase orders, and change orders.\nMonitoring construction schedules and assisting with critical path schedule updates based on actual project progress.\nSupporting the processing of progress payments, change orders, and extra work orders.\nAssisting with development and tracking of project punch lists.\nParticipating in project team meetings, progress meetings, and scheduling meetings.\nRecording and following up on meeting notes and action items.\nMaintaining project logs and organizing project paperwork.\nAssisting with construction inspections and reviewing construction drawings and blueprints.\nWhat We're Looking For\nSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:\nInterest in construction project management and the construction industry.\nStrong organizational, planning, and time management skills.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nCustomer service mindset and professional attitude.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nFamiliarity with construction documents, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.\nAttention to detail and a willingness to learn.\nMinimum Qualifications\nPursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.\nJunior or Senior standing preferred.\nCumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.\nAbility to work full-time during the summer internship period.\nWhat You'll Gain\nHands-on experience working on real construction projects.\nExposure to project management processes and industry best practices.\nMentorship and networking opportunities with construction professionals.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional project teams.\nProfessional development opportunities to help prepare you for a successful career in construction.\nJoin Harmon this summer and gain valuable experience while helping to deliver on innovative construction projects across the country.\nOur Benefits\nWe care about and invest in our employees.
