We are the global leader in anti-reflective, conservation grade electrostatic dissipative, high-definition, and abrasion resistance coatings, that provide protection, innovative designs, and exceptional durability.\nPosition Summary\nThe Sandblaster, or Sandblast Operator, performs abrasive blasting and surface preparation on metal and other materials to remove rust, scale, paint, and contaminants prior to coating, welding, fabrication, or finishing operations. The role requires safe operation of blasting equipment, quality inspection, and adherence to production schedules and safety standards.\nResponsibilities\nOperate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently\n\nPrepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants\n\nInspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met\n\nSelect appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear\n\nPerform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance\n\nFollow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules\n\nComply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements\n\nAssist in the troubleshooting and repair of production equipment\n\nPerform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment\n\nMaintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles\n\nDocument work progress in CMMS and communicate work status to business partners\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nPersonal Attributes and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nPrevious experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred\n\nAbility to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures\n\nAbility to use measuring and inspection tools\n\nForklift or overhead crane experience is a plus\n\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nStrong safety awareness.\n\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nReliable attendance and punctuality.\n\nHourly Rate: $24.00/hr + $1/50/hr shift differential\nHours: Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am\nWork Environment\nWhile performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Wearing PPE including NIOSH approved Type 1 Class C respirator, protective suits, gloves, and hearing protection is required. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
