The Interpreter / Training Coordinator will translate verbal and written communications related to manufacturing processes, safety protocols, training sessions, and other workplace communications. The goal is to bridge language barriers to promote efficiency, safety, and collaboration within the manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nInterpretation:Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, training sessions, safety briefings, and other workplace interactions.\n Facilitate clear and accurate communication between non-English speaking employees and English-speaking supervisors and management.\n\nTranslation: Translate written documents such as safety protocols, work instructions, technical manuals, and company policies from English to the target language and vice versa.\nEnsure translations are accurate and contextually appropriate for the manufacturing environment.\n\nAssist in facilitating communication between English-speaking and non-English-speaking employees on the production floor.\nAct as a liaison between management and non-English-speaking employees to ensure mutual understanding and effective communication.\nConduct language proficiency assessments for employees as needed.\n\nTraining Coordination:\nSupport training programs for manufacturing employees, including safety training, new hire orientation, and skills development.\nUpdate training materials, manuals, and presentations.\nSchedule and organize training sessions, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.\nTrack and report on training outcomes, attendance, and employee progress.\nMaintain training records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nEmployee Support:Assist non-English speaking employees in understanding job expectations, safety procedures, and company policies.\nSupport HR and management in resolving any communication-related issues among staff.\n\nTraining Assistance:Aid in the development and delivery of bilingual training materials and programs.\nSupport trainers in communicating technical and operational procedures to non-English speaking employees.\n\nCultural Mediation:Help foster a culturally inclusive work environment by addressing cultural differences and facilitating understanding among diverse teams.\n\nDocumentation:Maintain records of translated documents and interpreted sessions.\nAssist in the development of multilingual signage and labels within the manufacturing facility.\n\nQualifications\nEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Education, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.\n\nExperience:\nProven experience as an Interpreter / Training Coordinator or translator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and terminology is highly desirable.\nExperience with training coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.\n\nSkills:\nFluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).\nExcellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in translations.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.\n\nWork Conditions\nEnvironment:The role primarily involves work within the manufacturing facility, including factory floors, training rooms, and offices.\nFull-time position, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as required by training or interpreter needs.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.\nThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
