In this role, you will move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products throughout the facility. You will also load and unload trucks, organize materials in designated storage areas, and prepare products for shipment.\nThis position is a good fit for someone who has experience operating powered material-handling equipment, works carefully around large or delicate products, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and safe work area.\nResponsibilities\nOperate forklifts, side loaders, and other material-handling equipment to move materials and products safely.\nPick up, stage, store, and transport raw materials, supplies, work-in-process, and finished products.\nDeliver materials to production areas, holding areas, storage locations, or the shipping staging area.\nLoad outgoing trucks and help ensure products are positioned in the correct sequence.\nSecure and cushion products during loading to reduce the risk of shifting or damage during transportation.\nUse care when manually positioning panels and other products to prevent scratches, marks, or other damage.\nUnload incoming materials, supplies, and equipment and place them in the appropriate storage or work areas.\nCount and verify materials received and products being prepared for shipment.\nComplete required records and material-handling documentation.\nInspect equipment and report unsafe conditions, damaged materials, defective products, or equipment concerns to a supervisor.\nMaintain a clean and orderly work area.\nFollow established safety rules, operating procedures, and company policies.\nAssist with other shipping, warehouse, or material-handling duties as needed\nQualifications\nOne to two years of related material-handling, forklift, warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience.\nAbility to safely operate, or learn to operate, forklifts and sideload material-handling equipment.\nAbility to read and use basic work instructions, schedules, charts, tables, drawings, and product specifications.\nGood judgment when determining how materials should be moved, positioned, stored, and loaded.\nStrong attention to safety, product quality, and the movement of people and equipment in the work area.\nAbility to work independently while following established procedures.\nAbility to remain alert and attentive while operating powered equipment.\nAbility to maintain accurate counts and basic work records.\nHandle, position, and move materials throughout the workday.\nOccasionally lift or move materials of an average weight.\nSafely access and operate powered material-handling equipment.\nMaintain continuous visual attention while moving materials and operating equipment.\nWork in an environment that may include changing temperatures, weather exposure, noise, and other manufacturing or shipping conditions.\nWork Schedule 7:00am to 3:30pm\nJoin a company with a long history of innovation and craftsmanship and build your future with Kalwall Enterprises.\nApply today to start your manufacturing career with a recognized industry leader.\nOur Benefits\nWe care about and invest in our employees.
