Come join us.\nThe Opportunity\nThe Procurement Specialist reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnership & Wholesale Operations, will support procurement, supplier, and contract manufacturing activities across the organization. This role is responsible for sourcing raw materials and bulk flower products, managing supplier and CMO relationships, monitoring purchasing and production performance, analyzing costs and spend trends, and identifying opportunities for savings and process improvements. The incumbent will prepare reports, forecasts, and KPI analyses to support supply chain decisions while collaborating with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure supply requirements are met.\nResponsibilities\nProcurement & Supplier Management\nSupport the procurement of raw materials, API components.\n\nAnalyze purchasing data, supplier pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and spend trends.\n\nSupport Bulk flower purchases and sales for both domestic and international markets.\n\nSupport supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.\n\nMonitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, pricing, and supplier commitments.\n\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.\n\nMaintain accurate supplier, pricing, contract, and purchasing information as well as tracking information of all orders.\n\nSupport negotiations with suppliers by preparing spend analyses, market comparisons, and cost models.\n\nCMO Management\nSupport the management of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and external manufacturing partners.\n\nTrack CMO production plans, capacity, lead times, costs, and delivery performance.\n\nCoordinate with CMOs on purchase orders, production schedules, material requirements, and shipment timelines.\n\nMonitor CMO performance against agreed service levels, budgets, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.\n\nAssist with CMO onboarding, business reviews, contract updates, and commercial negotiations including compiling the Contracts.\n\nIdentify and escalate potential supply, capacity, cost, or delivery risks.\n\nTrack key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, cost variance, purchase price variance, supplier performance, and CMO utilization.\n\nProvide data-driven insights and recommendations to support procurement and supply chain decisions.\n\nMaintain accurate forecasts and scenario analysis related to supplier and manufacturing capacity.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure supply requirements are met.\n\nSupport demand and supply planning activities.\n\nExperience\nPost-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.\n\n3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or agriculture setting.\n\nExperience sourcing raw materials, packaging, ingredients, API components, or manufactured products.\n\nDemonstrated success managing supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance management, and issue resolution.\n\nExperience supporting domestic and international procurement activities.\n\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess spend, pricing, lead times, MOQs, and cost-saving opportunities.\n\nExperience supporting supplier negotiations through spend analysis, market research, and cost modeling.\n\nKnowledge of purchase order management, inventory replenishment, delivery scheduling, and contract administration.\n\nProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel skills.\n\nOther Details\nThis is a full-time on site position based out of the Smiths Falls/Ottawa area.\nSalary range - $62,000 - $75,000\nBenefits - extended health and dental coverage, paid vacation, and participation in our employer-supported retirement savings program\nWe appreciate your interest, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.\nWe welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
