Is responsible for sanitation, set-up and operation of all production equipment. Follows all GMP’s, SOD’s and company policies/ regulations and remains aligned to the Apotex Strategic Objectives.\nJob Responsibilities\nCompliance\nPerform all duties according to the SOD’s, GMP’s and all other established safety standards and company policies\nCorrectly complete all documentation as per SOD’s, GDP and GMP requirements, i.e., observations, test results, batch record information, etc.\nAccess Apotex intranet for the purpose of locating and utilizing relevant SOD’s, MSDS’s, company policies and procedures\nNotify Supervisor / Admin in the event of a departure from procedure, product defect, safety incident or other serious problem\nExecute line clearance and cleaning verification activities as per SODs and established standard work\nEnsure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies\n\nProductivity and Equipment\nDismantle, clean, sanitize, move (where required), install, and align parts to assemble manufacturing equipment as part of equipment set-up activities according to established SODs to ensure GMP compliance and meet department changeover targets in support of department and productivity goals.\nPerform equipment inspection and safely operate all required industry standard equipment and machinery including those used to manufacture, store, clean and transport production related assets, goods to support operational tasks. This also includes safe handling of work tools.\nEnsure proper selection, care and use of parts, equipment, tools while performing all job related duties.\nOperate equipment with computerized control panel / Human Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor the manufacturing process.\nMonitor and control start up and shut down activities of an equipment and a process. \nExecute and document in-process testing required during manufacturing of a product.\nExecute applicable SAP, LIMS, APO-OEE, POMSnet (where applicable) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.\nEffectively process batches within established specifications to meet department batch execution targets by ensuring optimal run rates in support of schedule adherence.\nComplete master batch records and associated production documentation accurately, timely following SODs, GDP, GMP requirement and batch right the first time (BRFT) approach.\nUnderstand cycle time concepts and sources of unreliability to focus on critical areas of improvement.\nSupport LEAN initiatives and participate in Kaizen events.\nPerform the CPC or LT responsibilities as required that may include use of lifting devices such as forklifts, walkies, big joe etc. \nIssue maintenance notifications in the event of an equipment breakdown and prepare equipment for maintenance work orders as required.\nMay rotate between different processing rooms during shift(s) as required.\nTeamwork\nActively contributes in team meetings and other team-related activities.\nActively seeks and accepts positive and constructive feedback from colleagues and leadership.\nWorks effectively with team members in support of team and department goals. \nCommunicates effectively both verbally and written, in English.\nPerform any related duties as assigned.\nWorks in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.\nDemonstrate Behaviours that exhibit our organizational Values: Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion.\nAll other relevant duties as assigned.\nJob Requirements\nEducation\nMinimum secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAbility to lift 20 kgs. on a regular basis\nAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection responsibly as per Apotex procedures.\nWorking knowledge of Computer Literacy including Windows Operating System\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nResult and customer service oriented, pursues work with energy and drive.\nAbility to function in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.\nSelf-Managed team player with a positive attitude exhibiting cooperation, communication, flexibility and initiative to acquire functional skills.\nExperience\nPrevious manufacturing experience within Food / Pharmaceutical Industry is an asset.\nAt Apotex, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and accessible work environment, where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported to succeed.\nWe offer accommodation for applicants with disabilities as part of the recruitment process.
