Join Appellation as its first hotels and resorts take root in 2025.?\nOverview of Position:\nA Staff Cafeteria Cook at Appellation Healdsburg is responsible for preparing and serving meals for employees in the staff cafeteria. This role ensures meals are prepared to meet internal standards for quality, taste, and safety while creating a welcoming dining experience for team members. The cook maintains efficiency in a high-volume kitchen environment and supports overall kitchen operations.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare and Cook Dishes: Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare meals for the staff cafeteria with consistency and quality.\nEnsure Food Quality and Presentation: Maintain standards for food appearance, temperature, and taste.\nMaintain Workstation Cleanliness: Keep the cafeteria station clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.\nInventory and Supply Management: Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and managing inventory pars.\nCollaborate with Kitchen Team: Work in coordination with other cooks and team members to ensure smooth meal service.\nAdhere to Health and Safety Standards: Comply with local health department regulations and internal sanitation procedures\nSkills & Qualifications:\nEducation: A culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred but not required. Equivalent hands-on experience is accepted.\nExperience: Minimum 1-2 years in a professional kitchen setting, preferably in a high-volume or institutional environment. Experience in batch cooking is a plus.\nKnife Skills: Ability to safely and efficiently chop, dice, and slice ingredients.\nCooking Proficiency: Comfort with a range of cooking methods such as boiling, steaming, roasting, and preparing meals in batches.\nFood Safety: Strong understanding of food safety practices.
