You are comfortable joining an established codebase, following existing technical patterns and CI/CD workflows, and becoming productive with minimal guidance.\nYou communicate clearly in distributed environments, work effectively with limited overlap, and take ownership of monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the reliability of your pipelines.\nYou Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies\n5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, integration development, or related roles.\nProduction experience building ETL or data-integration pipelines using TypeScript and Node.js.\nStrong Python experience focused on data-pipeline development.\nHands-on experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.\nExperience integrating REST APIs using OAuth 2.0, pagination, error handling, and retry mechanisms.\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience working with complex data warehouse schemas.\nExperience developing data-transformation logic and data-quality validations.\nUnderstanding of pipeline monitoring, alerting, failure recovery, and operational support.\nExperience working within established architectures, coding conventions, and CI/CD workflows.\nAbility to onboard independently and become productive within an existing codebase.\nStrong written communication skills and an async-first collaboration style.\nWorking English proficiency for daily collaboration with an international team.\nAvailability to overlap with Pacific Time, primarily between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. PT.\nThe following experience is considered a plus:\nExperience working with Zuora REST APIs and ZOQL.\nKnowledge of the Zuora billing object model, including subscriptions, invoices, and payments.\nExperience using dbt or similar data-transformation frameworks.\nGCP Professional Data Engineer certification.\nYou Will Be Accountable For\nBuilding and maintaining ETL pipelines between Zuora REST APIs and a GCP data warehouse.\nDeveloping and maintaining integration components using TypeScript/Node.js and Python.\nManaging transformation logic for billing events, subscription lifecycles, invoices, payments, and revenue data.\nWorking within the existing architecture, development patterns, conventions, and CI/CD workflows.\nDeveloping data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.\nImplementing pipeline monitoring, alerting, error handling, retry logic, and data-quality controls.\nWriting complex SQL validation queries to verify data parity between source data and warehouse tables.\nCollaborating with the Business Architect to implement data-validation requirements.\nInvestigating pipeline failures, data discrepancies, and integration issues.\nSupporting accurate and reliable data movement across source systems and warehouse environments.\nProviding clear written updates and collaborating effectively within a distributed, async-first team.\nParticipating in the established Agile/Kanban workflow.\n About Us\nWe Are Engineered Different.\nAt Applaudo, talented people design, build, and scale meaningful, AI-powered solutions that create real business impact.
