Key stakeholder in design-for-manufacturing, process development, and assembly tolerance analysis. This work directly impacts the design, cost and quality of new, technically complex opto-electronics modules.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in precision assembly, inspection and automation equipment design and qualification\nAbility to travel approximately 30-35%\nBSME or equivalent\nPreferred Qualifications\n7+ years in an engineering role with experience in precision assembly, inspection and automation equipment\nRequired to understand and build tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies\nKnowledgeable in crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments and failure analysis\nUnderstands machine qualification including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability and reproducibility\nAble to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment\nNew product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired\nProven track record of cost reduction, project management and engineering design required\nWorking knowledge of GD&T principles favorable\nNX, SolidWorks CAD or ProE experiences a plus\nKnowledge of optics principles as they relate to CCD cameras, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment machines\nWorking knowledge of robotics (6-axis and/or SCARA), pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLC and and PC-based control systems\nJMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience
