Join Apple, you will help us leave the world better than we found it.\nDescription\nAs an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in the Core Tech team, you will be at the forefront of bringing Apple's next-generation products to life. You will lead the end-to-end development of highly automated, complex manufacturing processes-from early concept and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) through to mass production. By leveraging your expertise in advanced robotics, machine vision, and precision process engineering, you will bridge the gap between innovative product design and scalable, world-class manufacturing, ensuring our products are built with unprecedented precision and quality.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBSME or equivalent (MSME, MSIE desired), with 5 plus years in an automation engineering role with experience in automation equipment design (product design add on) as well as design for manufacturability and advanced manufacturing engineering.\nProven working knowledge of DFM (automation equipment design review).\nConfirmed ability in automation engineering & manufacturing process field with relevant design technical expertise.\nFluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of optics principles as they relate to CCD cameras, 3D, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment fixtures.\nBasic understanding of glue adhesive dispense, PSAs and VHBs, or coils winding processes, sensing camera processes, glass or lens lamination processes.\nUnderstanding of pneumatics, servo motors, 4axis and 6axis robots, PLC and PC-based control systems a plus.\nUnderstand and create tolerance analysis stack ups for assemblies and part level datums reference.\nKnowledge of AI technology or machine learning, adapt to automation development working principle\nUnderstanding of AVI, automation visual inspection technology, include HW/SW/Vision development\nKnowledge of GD&T principles a plus.\nX2, NX4, or Validated Work CAD experiences a plus.
