In this role you will focus on developing and sustaining solutions through communication and coordination with Apple Data Center teams and Business Groups to help deliver a solid infrastructure and services to meet global business objectives. We seek a self-starter, visionary team player with strong infrastructure cabling capabilities to drive standards as well as innovative methodologies to achieve these objectives who likes to travel to locations worldwide.\nDescription\nThe Data Center Operations (DCO) group is looking for a Data Center Engineer based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining servers and supporting fixtures and infrastructure in our remote locations.\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience with DC operational tasks, including rack sizing, equipment installation and decommissioning.\nAbility to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and lift as required on a continuous basis with items that can weigh up to 34 kg.\nHands-on experience with various copper and fiber cabling structures.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in both Chinese and English.\nAbility to travel to mainland China and other APAC countries.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCandidate needs to possess a Bachelor degree in IT related disciplines.\n5+ years’ experience or related experience in a data center environment.\nStrong communicator at all levels with excellent oral and written skills to a variety of audiences.\nPrior experience in DC operations, supply chain, and DC construction.\nExperience with DCIM tools.\nPossess a global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organisation.\nAbility to manage key stakeholder interests while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests.\nCertification in data Center operations or data center related certification. e.g. CDOM, CDFOM, CDCE, CDCS
