This role combines people leadership, technical direction, service reliability, and a strong focus on improving the experience of our internal engineering customers.\nDescription\nAs an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers who develop and operate the platforms, automation, and tools used to provision, manage, monitor, and support one of Apple’s large scale device testing environments.\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of experience managing software, systems, platform, or similarly technical engineering teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop engineers and grow their scope and careers.\nStrong technical background in automation, engineering platforms, systems, or services operating at scale.\nExperience leading teams responsible for business critical tools or services, including monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.\nDemonstrated ability to drive automation and replace repetitive or manual processes with scalable engineering solutions.\nExperience managing competing priorities across customer needs, feature development, service reliability, technical debt, and longer term initiatives.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering disciplines, organizations, locations, and time zones.\nBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing or managing internal engineering platforms, automation frameworks, device management systems, developer tools, or self service capabilities.\nExperience supporting large scale device fleets, automated testing environments, or globally distributed engineering services.\nFamiliarity with Apple hardware and operating systems, including macOS and iOS.\nExperience with Python, Ansible, Git, APIs, or comparable automation and software development technologies.\nExperience with observability, monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, incident management, and long term service reliability.\nUnderstanding of networking and service dependencies across hardware, software, devices, and distributed systems.\nDemonstrated success building strong relationships with internal customers, understanding their needs, and translating those needs into platform improvements and engineering priorities.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2836,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":5,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Operating Systems","Laptops","Smartwatches & Fitness Trackers","Tablets"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-19T20:04:33Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Graduate Trainee, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
