Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish.\nDescription\nAs an EMC Design Engineer, you will evaluate, design, and optimize EMC solutions for Apple products. You will be responsible for ensuring that products meet EMC requirements and regulations. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with innovation-conducting design reviews to assess potential risks, creating comprehensive test plans, and analyzing results to guide problem-solving. You will think systematically about products as integrated designs, understanding how individual components and subsystems contribute to overall EMC performance. You will work collaboratively with design teams, test engineers, and cross-functional partners to develop and implement solutions. You will contribute to your team's collective knowledge by sharing best practices and lessons learned across projects, supporting first pass success on future designs. Your analysis of test data and design reviews will inform recommendations to peers and management.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBSEE or equivalent experience in electromagnetic fields and/or applications\n7+ years deep subject-matter expertise in EMC, ESD, RF, and/or signal integrity areas\nProficient in schematic and layout review of PCBs for emissions and immunity control\nAble to perform CAD review of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance\nDemonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with other engineers and cross-functional partners\nEffectively partner with EMC Test Engineers to develop test plan, coordinate proto and validation testing, and generate EMC certification reports.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nWilling and able to support occasional international travel to other Apple sites, vendors, and contract manufacturers\nPreferred Qualifications\nMSEE / PhD with a specialization in electromagnetic fields and/or applications\nDetailed understanding of design and testing of ITE products for EMC compliance and in EMC/ ESD debug techniques\nTrack record of creating innovative solutions for product development and/or improve EMC processes.\nExperience with electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, and PowerSI\nExperience in one or more of the following fields: Wireless Power Transfer, Antenna, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity\nExperience with Matlab and scripting for test automation and data analysis\nIn-depth knowledge of worldwide EMC regulations, test methods, and standards, including EN55032, EN55035, IEC61000 series, and ETSI 301 489 series\nExperience with EMC lab equipment such as spectrum and vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and transmission line pulsers
