Every product that we manufacture, minus soft goods, interacts with one or more JMET services during its lifecycle.\nWe are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team building and operating mission-critical, highly available server-side services. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a proven track record of shipping large-scale services and growing engineering teams. This role blends technical acumen, people leadership, and collaboration, as you'll work with diverse cross-functional teams and partners. This role also requires the candidate to provide operational support and travel occasionally as needed.\nDescription\nWe are looking for a hands-on leader who can guide a team to make clear technical decisions and build consensus through sound technical reasoning, not authority. We require a passion for security and development excellence. In addition to strong technical skills, candidates should have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, be comfortable translating ambiguous requirements into well-defined designs, and be able to hire, mentor, and develop engineers with diverse working styles.\nMinimum Qualifications\n7+ years of relevant industry experience shipping critical deliverables\n1+ years of experience directly managing software engineers\nProficiency in Java and accompanying frameworks\nSolid understanding of highly available distributed systems and relational databases\nWorking knowledge of security fundamentals, such as PKI, x.509, authentication protocols, and cryptographic primitives\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\n2-3 years of people management experience\nProven track record in designing, leading, and shipping mission-critical services that run at a global scale\nExperience with hardware security modules (HSMs) or key management
