The Apple Watch Intelligent System Experience team is seeking a Screening, Integration & AI Tools Engineer to screen and prioritize incoming bugs, integrate complex software changes into watchOS, and develop AI and automation tools that scale the team's impact. This role offers the opportunity to bring a software engineering approach to screening and integration while building the skills for long-term growth in software development.\nDescription\nIn this role, you will triage incoming bugs, analyze logs, and prioritize issues for key components of watchOS. You will use large language models and other AI tools to quickly identify the most important bug reports filed by Apple employees and external developers, and pinpoint root causes and regression points to speed up the bug fix lifecycle. You will drive our day-to-day process around bug and source code management, integrate complex software changes into watchOS, and design and build agentic tools and automation that help the team work more efficiently. We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and technically savvy engineer who can juggle a variety of tasks and is eager to grow their software engineering skills.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nFamiliarity with Apple operating systems, especially watchOS and iOS, and with consumer-facing software development processes\nExperience with bug tracking systems\nExperience with source control, preferably git, including branching, merging, and code review workflows\nExperience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems\nFamiliarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, Swift, or JavaScript, plus shell scripting\nHands-on experience using LLMs and AI coding assistants in your own development work, and familiarity with agents, skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)\nPractical experience with command line tools on macOS, UNIX, or Linux\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building LLM-powered tools or agents (for example, with the Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, or MCP servers), including prompt design and evaluation\nExperience with Xcode, Instruments, Swift, SwiftUI, or Objective-C\nExperience debugging software issues\nExperience with data analytics and understanding large data
