life.\nDescription\nIn this role, you will take ownership of the validation and characterization of advanced electro-optical systems, with the opportunity to develop testing capabilities and measurement methodologies from the ground up.\nThis is a highly hands-on engineering role that combines laboratory experimentation with in-depth data analysis.\nYou will design and build optical test setups, develop automated measurements, investigate system performance, and turn experimental results into meaningful engineering conclusions.\nWorking at the intersection of optics, hardware, and software, you will help establish new laboratory capabilities, shape validation methodologies, and contribute to the development of emerging sensing technologies.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electro-Optics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of relevant engineering or applied research experience in electro-optical systems, optical characterization, validation, or related fields.\nStrong understanding of applied optics and electro-optical systems, with the ability to apply optical principles to measurement design, characterization, and troubleshooting.\nHands-on laboratory experience, with the ability to independently develop, operate, and troubleshoot experimental setups.\nStrong analytical and system-level problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate system behavior and identify technical issues.\nGood programming skills, with the ability to understand, develop, and troubleshoot code for test automation, equipment control, and data analysis.\nAbility to independently drive technical activities from planning through execution and conclusions, with strong technical communication and presentation skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMSc in Physics, Electro-Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\nExperience designing and developing electro-optical characterization setups, including instrument integration and mechanical fixtures.\nExperience with imaging systems, laser-based sensors, optical sensing, or optical metrology.\nExperience using Python for laboratory automation, instrument control, and data analysis.\nFamiliarity with optical performance characterization, sensor calibration, and alignment methodologies.\nExperience characterizing electro-optical system performance under varying environmental conditions, such as illumination, temperature, moisture, and
