We’re seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated leader to join our team in Santa Clara Valley (SCV) as a Shipping Supervisor.\nYou’ll be responsible for supervising the SCV Shipping Team, which handles both domestic and international shipments. If you’re a highly organized, detail-oriented leader with experience in these areas, great communication skills, and a can-do attitude, come and do your life’s best work at Apple!\nDescription\nYou will have oversight of our Shipping team as a working supervisor, assisting your team members with daily operations and helping fill in for employee absences. In addition to shipping operations, you’ll be expected to learn the functions of all other SCV SRM teams and provide backup supervisory support when the primary team supervisor is unavailable.\nYou’ll be expected to learn quickly and gain a deep understanding of all procedures performed by your team. You’ll dig into the details to identify and implement process improvements, help escalate and answer challenging questions, and ensure operations are running smoothly.\nCollaboration is key to success at Apple, and you’ll frequently work with other supervisors and managers to develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and conduct team trainings. You’ll ensure job functions are performed in a safe manner by following Environment, Health & Safety procedures, and performed in full compliance with Apple policy and applicable laws.\nYou will be expected to hold regular team meetings and 1:1s with your direct reports, continually providing coaching and guidance on areas for improvement. You’ll co-develop and review an individual development plan with each of your reports on a quarterly basis at a minimum. You’ll also need to be comfortable having challenging conversations, and always remember to celebrate key achievements and growth.\nYou should remain flexible and prepared for changes to the schedule, including occasionally working early mornings, evenings, or weekends. You will also be expected to assist with after-hours requests, as needed, and complete other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3+ years experience working in a fast-paced logistics facility or similar environment\nAt least 1 year of experience leading a team, as a supervisor or peer leader\nStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, subject matter experts, and leadership to develop trust and strong partnerships\nProven leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous process improvement.\nProficiency in the following technical areas: scheduling or calendar software, logistics tracking software, database software, Numbers or Excel, and Pages or Word\nAbility to lift up to 30 pounds, move equipment, bend/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders\nPreferred Qualifications\nInternational shipping experience, or existing knowledge of shipping laws, import and export regulations, sanctions, and customs clearance\nInnovative problem-solver who digs into the details to make positive contributions and works collaboratively across all levels and functions\nDelivers high-quality results, with minimal direction, in an environment where expectations are high, and timelines are challenging\nAble to cut through ambiguity and drive projects forward, regularly multi-tasking, re-prioritizing, and
