Together, those functions deliver the technology behind every product story Apple tells and every purchase a customer makes.\nDescription\nApple’s Marcom Engineering (ME) team builds the interactive brand experiences that bring Apple products to life online. We’re looking for a front-end engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining our component library - the foundation that enables us to deliver high-quality experiences efficiently across Apple’s lines of business.\nYou’ll work at the intersection of engineering and design, translating creative vision into performant, reusable UI components. This is a role for someone who cares deeply about craft, thinks in systems, and thrives when collaborating across disciplines.\nYou will design, build, and maintain shared UI components that power Apple’s online brand experiences. Working on an engineering team that partners with design and creative teams on a project basis, you’ll ensure components are flexible enough to support varied use cases while maintaining Apple’s standard of quality. The team is currently transitioning from its existing front-end architecture codebase to React, so you’ll need to operate effectively in both environments.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3 years of professional front-end development experience\nExperience in semantic HTML5, modern CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)\nExperience building reusable UI components in both vanilla JS/HTML/CSS and framework-based environments\nFamiliarity with React or similar component-based frameworks, and Node.js-based tooling\nExperience with package managers and build tools (NPM, webpack, Vite, or similar)\nBS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent job-related experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building or maintaining a component library or design system\nProficiency with React, including component composition patterns and state management\nExperience migrating an existing codebase to a React-based architecture\nSkilled in CSS architecture at scale (BEM, CSS Modules, Styled Components, or similar)\nExperience with performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser testing\nFamiliarity with component documentation tooling (Storybook or equivalent)\nTrack record of introducing new patterns or technologies, or mentoring peers\nEffective communicator who can work across both technical and creative
