Refine and execute the design of Apple products while collaborating with industrial designers, product integrity, hardware, software, and technology groups. Develop initial product layouts. Generate concepts, prototype, demonstrate & test to drive down-selection. Optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability through partnership with external vendors & internal manufacturing teams. Perform stress, tolerance, and failure analyses to ensure design meets requirements throughout its lifecycle and support factory builds in Asia.
