You should join Apple if you want to help deliver the next amazing Apple product.\nDescription\nThis role requires critical expertise in multiple layers in cellular protocols, experience with UE and/or NW protocols development for various 3GPP technologies is essential. The candidate must demonstrate solid understanding of relevant protocol procedures and network interactions. The duties of this position will include design, develop, and maintain network simulation. You will need to understand the 4G/5G protocols functionality in the respective 3GPP releases and convert that into corresponding protocol implementation and interfaces in the Cellular network simulation systems domain.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS and a minimum of 5+ years relevant industry experience.\nA good understanding of cellular protocol stacks, particularly 5G.\nKnowledge of cellular communication standards: 6G, 5G NR, 4G LTE, PHY Downlink/Uplink channels and signals.\nSoftware development experience and debugging skills in C/C++.\nExperience with multi-processing and multi-threading based implementations.\nGood fundamentals in object-oriented SW design and test techniques and methodologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s or PhD degree in wireless communication or electrical engineering.\nStrong understanding of cellular Downlink/Uplink procedures - PDCCH/PDSCH/RACH, DCI, Scheduling Request, HARQ, SRS, CSI, Link adaptation and other scheduler algorithms.\nExperience in investigating and troubleshooting scheduler issues to optimize the performance of Cellular implementation.\nStrong analysis and debugging capabilities to diagnose issues and collaborate with development and systems design teams to resolve them.\nDeep understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals.\nProficient in scripting or programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
