We welcome candidates from the St. Paul metro and beyond to apply. \nEmployees working in Shoreview, MN have a short commute from Roseville, Arden Hills, New Brighton, Mounds View, Vadnais Heights, Little Canada, North Oaks, White Bear Lake, Lino Lakes, and Blaine, and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.\nAs a Machine Design Engineer-Advanced Manufacturing, you will:\nDesign and develop custom machinery and automated systems for advanced manufacturing applications\nEngineer mechanical solutions involving friction stir welding, robotic fixtures, waterjet cutting, drilling/defastening, automated fastening, and sealant/adhesive dispensing\nCreate detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to support fabrication and integration\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements\nSupport prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of machine designs\nContribute to equipment specifications, component selection, and design documentation throughout the project lifecycle\nWork collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners\nContribute to projects that impact communities in Roseville, Arden Hills, New Brighton, Mounds View, Vadnais Heights, Little Canada, North Oaks, White Bear Lake, Lino Lakes, and Blaine and the greater St. Paul metro\nApply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering\n2+ years of experience in machine design or automated equipment engineering\nProficiency in 3D CAD modeling; SolidWorks strongly preferred\nAExperience designing systems involving friction stir welding, configurable or robotic fixtures, waterjet cutting and trimming, drilling and defastening processes, automated fastening systems, and sealant and adhesive dispensing \nStrong understanding of mechanical components, motion systems, and manufacturing processes\nAbility to troubleshoot mechanical issues and support hands-on testing\nClear communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and project ownership\nCapable of working independently and as a team member\nStrong work ethic and unwavering integrity\nExcellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset\nCuriosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking\nEffective verbal and written communication\nDesire to work on a variety of projects\nESTIMATED PAY RANGE\nEngineer I: $34.62-$40.38/hour\nEngineer II: $38.46-$44.23/hour\nEngineer III: $43.27-$49.04/hour\nSenior Engineer: $46.63-$53.85/hour\nFinal compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.
