We welcome candidates from the Fargo metro and beyond to apply. \nEmployees working in Fargo, ND have a short commute from West Fargo, Moorhead, Dilworth, and Horace and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will: \nDevelop new equipment and standardize existing machine designs\nProvide hands-on troubleshooting support for manufacturing and assembly issues\nImprove and update current product lines using new tools, materials, and lessons learned\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure machines are built to specification\nLead or facilitate technical design reviews to support knowledge sharing and peer development\nApply critical thinking to resolve complex technical challenges independently\nGenerate innovative ideas to improve equipment, processes, and engineering outcomes\nWork collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners\nContribute to projects that impact communities in Fergus Falls, Willmar, Osakis, and Glenwood, and the greater Alexandria, MN metro\nApply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required\n4+ years of machine design experience using Creo\nAbility to work independently with sound judgment and initiative\nStrong problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges\nExperience collaborating across business functions and contributing to team success\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nCommitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement\nESTIMATED PAY RANGE\nEngineer I: $34.62-$40.38/hour\nEngineer II: $38.46-$44.23/hour\nEngineer III: $43.27-$49.04/hour\nSenior Engineer: $46.63-$53.85/hour\nFinal compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.
