Learn more about our benefits.\nNote:\nThis Position is based in Bangalore, India,\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the operational health and reliability of all abatement systems supporting semiconductor process equipment.\nDevelop and execute preventive maintenance strategies for abatement equipment.\nMonitor equipment performance and drive continuous reliability improvements.\nMaintain system documentation, operating procedures, and maintenance records.\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on:Burn-Wet Abatement Systems\nPlasma Abatement Systems\nPoint-of-Use Abatement Systems\n\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, process, and controls-related failures.\nCoordinate repairs with OEMs and external suppliers.\nLead root cause investigations for recurring failures.\nEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.\nWork closely with equipment owners to ensure proper integration between process tools and abatement infrastructure.\nValidate exhaust flow requirements and process compatibility.\nSupport new tool installations and facility modification projects.\nEnsure safe handling of hazardous exhaust gases and process by-products.\nSupport Hazard Reviews, JHAs, Risk Assessments, and MOC activities.\nMaintain emergency response procedures for abatement-related incidents.\nDrive EHS best practices throughout laboratory operations.\nAnalyze equipment performance trends.\nImprove MTBF and reduce downtime.\nDrive cost optimization through predictive maintenance and improved spare management.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in:\nMechanical Engineering\nChemical Engineering\nEnvironmental Engineering\nElectrical Engineering\nInstrumentation Engineering\nMechatronics Engineering\nExperience\n5-10 years of experience in:Semiconductor Manufacturing / R&D labs / Facilities engineering\n\nPreferred Technical Expertise\nBurn-Wet Abatement / Plasma Abatement Systems\nWafer fab experience is an added advantage\nDeep understanding of utility systems (Vacuum/Exhaust/ Cooling water system/Chemical delivery/PLC/SCADA/Sensors)\nSemiconductor Processes\nUnderstanding of processes generating exhaust emissions:\nCVD/PVD/Etch etcNote: \nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
