Learn more about our benefits.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nPerforms monthly, quarterly close activities of Equipment revenue, cost of sales, division expense and related balance sheet accounts\nUnderstand business deals and ensure accounting transactions in accordance with established procedures and policy. \nInterface with various internal business stakeholders (Sales, Order Management, Business Unit, both local and HQ Finance etc.) to provide accounting support for responsible area \nParticipate in various projects (system enhancement/integration, process change for efficiency). \nBusiness partnering with Sales and PSE team for headcount and expense forecasting\nPrepare ad-hoc reporting when requested or needed\nKey Competencies\nProblem Solving: Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions\nInterpersonal skills: communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view\nInterprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes\nUSGAAP accounting knowledge\nSelf starter, high discipline, team player\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's Degree or above\n5+ Years of Experience in accounting role\nExperience and knowledge in revenue recognition is a plus\nWork experience in multinational company is preferred\nStrong excel skills to perform various accounting analysis\nExperience in SAP, Blackline is preferred\nProficient in leveraging AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency and quality in accounting processes, or committed to developing such capabilities.\nBusiness level of written and verbal communication skills both English and Japanese\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
